Checking Accounts
Easy Checking
For a $6.00 monthly fee, you recieve:
- Free checks
- No minimum balance requirement
- No fees for money orders, travelers checks, copy services (limit 10), stop payments, or amortization schedules.
- There is a service charge of $0.25 for each check over 50. All checks ar returned to you.
Minimum Balance Checking
By maintaining a minimum average balance of $300, there is no monthly service charge. Should your balance drop below $300, your account will be charged $3.00 per month plus $0.25 per check. All checks are returned to you. First order of checks is free.
Regular Checking
$3.00 monthly service fee plus $0.25 per check. No minimum balance requirement. An earnings credit is applied against the total service fees based on the average monthly balance. All checks are returned to you. First order of checks is free.
Loyalty Checking
- No service charges
- No minimum balance
- Pays a variable interest rate set weekly on average balance.
- Checks retained at the bank for safekeeping and are not returned in statements.
- First oreder of checks is free.
Money Market Checking
A $500 average balance pays a variable interest rate set weekly. Rates are tiered; if your average balance drops below $500, your account will be charged $5.00 per month plus $0.25 per check. All checks are returned to you. First order of checks is free.
55 Checking
For customers age 55 and older, this acocunt has no service charges and requires no minimum balance. All checks are returned to you. First order of checks is free. Also for our customers 55 and older, check out the Harbor Mates Club
Checking Account Features
Instant Credit
All of our checking accounts can have an Instant Credit feature added. This allows you to write yourself a loan by writing a check, to provide you with convenient and flexible financing. Instant Credit feature requires a separate application and approval.
Overdraft Protection
You never have to worry about being overdrawn if you sign aup for automatic "sweeps" from your savings to checking account.
Automatic Transfers
To make saving easier and more convenient, regular, automatic transfers may be made from your checking account to your savings account.
Telephone Transfer
By simply calling us, you may transfer funds from one account to another, at no charge.
